Can you imagine hummus, vegan cheese, and vegan slices all combined between toasted bread tasting good? Well you’re in for a shocker because this recipe is PHENOMENAL! And it’s all thanks to Lantana Foods Hummus and Tofurky Slices! So let’s give them a round of applause and a sampling of their products 🙂 This sandwich will be the “cheesiest” and “meatiest” vegan sandwich you have ever eaten 🙂 You will need the following ingredients:
–Lantana Carrot Hummus
–Lantana Edamame Hummus
-1 Daiya Cheddar Cheese Slice
-2-3 slices of Tofurky Italian Styled and Peppered Vegan Slices
-2 Slices of your favorite bread (I love a good Rosemary & Olive Oil Loaf)
Also have 1 Tbsp. Organic EVOO, 1 Tsp. Basil and 1 Tsp. Oregano to coat your bread with!
Let’s start by preheating your cast iron pan on medium heat and spraying it with a little EVOO. Next we will coat the backside of each bread slice 🙂
Drop them on your cast iron and get out your Lantana Hummus! Spread a nice layer of both Carrot and Edamame on each slice as shown below 🙂 Add more for a creamier final product! I personally enjoy a little thicker helping on mine.
Add your Vegan Slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown (approx. 1 minute each side). Make sure to flip around so you don’t have any burning 🙂 They are quite thin so you want to watch them closely.
Next make sure to place on top of Cheese to get it melty! Flip the other slice of bread on top and allow both sides of the sandwich to cook through.
